latest from teroPosted by tero aarnio Fri, July 09, 2010 16:23:54hello.
last time when i wrote here i was going to spend miniholiday and midsummer in finland.
I really enjoyed of time there and time of just raise my hungry to ride.
Since last post I have got 2 meetings in Finland, 2 in UK and unfortunately none in Sweden.
I have been scoring both finnish meetings 13 points.so i haven´t drop many points but our team has been strugling a bit , I feel that i should engourage rest of our team
because i´m oldest and experienced but obviously i have failed ´because we have been both times second in a meeting.Rest of boys have raw talent but we haven´t been firing same time. Now we have one month break in finland and hopefully next meeting make a difference otherwise we lose change to win league there.
In Uk I can´t be moaning either.only worry is now my back(tailbone) I landed on my bottom at Kingslynn when I was leading and now back has been really stiff few days.I`m going to have treatment for that in Finland now and hopefully i´m fully fit next thursday against Sheffield.I really like to ride in Sheffield so i don´t want to miss that one.
Home meeting against Rye House was almost perfect...I blame myself to drop point for Frampton and ruin my paid max. That´s next goal at home and I`m confident that will be happen soon.Attleast scores have been going right direction...UP.
I´m really enjoying my speedway now so riding feels easy.I just hope this feeling not gonna end this season and I could help Scunny in the play-offs.

latest from teroPosted by tero aarnio Mon, June 21, 2010 12:43:49hello all!
Sorry that I have been busy(read lazy) and i haven´t share my thoughs here.
I promise that now on I will be more active here.
Season has has been promising and I think this year could be best of my life.
I have found good machinery and changing clutch for NEB has made world of good. Now I don´t miss all gates anymore and u can see it from my scores all over.In sweden I have lift my average even more than in British league.
Away scores has been up and down here but I didn´t have good engine for away meetings when I came here .I got "away" engine to Glasgow(paid 11) since that I have felt much more comfortable away from home aswell.
Home meetings has been good all the time apart against Newport but there was a good excuse. On that meeting I had all problems with machinery what I have got this season(2 stops).I have found out how to ride my new hometrack and I actually enjoy a much. It´s good racing track and there is lot of changes to save your heat even U don´t gate.
Now I´m on the way back to Finland,I have meeting there tmr and after that I have whole weekend off. It´s nice because it´s big festival weekend In Finland which called "midsummer" there.

In the UK season has started but here in Finland still snowing so speedway here isn´t first thing in people mind. But seasons time schedule is little bit clearer now.
Middle of April (14th-16th)finnish junior team going to have training session in Sweden,Hallstavik and I´m going to join them.I have doupth of that dates if track in Sweden is ready yet because spring is late here in skandinavia. We hope the best. What ever happen for that session I will take few days alone on the track somewhere in Sweden just make sure that bikes are ready and most important ,I´m ready to race.
First meeting is latest 6th of may(allsvenskan) but i try to find some individual meeting before that.Information about those come later when I know dates and places.

Finally my injury time is just fading memory.Few weeks ago I got all clear and since that I have changed work out schedule much harder.
Floorball goaling has been good for fully mobility, actually i´m really near of last year level allready and still time left to get it even better. with gym, skiing and jogging I have tried to bring muscles back.Full fitness isn´t far away but season is around the corner aswell.
I have get for work aswell.I work as a panelbeater as far as I have time. It´s good to keep skill up in a wintertime and biggest reason......keep my account balance on certain level =) I need to thank my employer who give me quite free hours and if I need time to prepare speedway season ,it´s no problem.
I have also changed team in Finland. That wasn´t my decision because Kuusankoski needed to step down from league caused by bad economy. My new team is Kauhajoki.Kauhajoki offered good deal in finnish scale and I hadn´t any doupths to say yes for them.So now Finland and Sweden are clear.30-40 meeting ahead....but that feels slightly poor number of meeting compared last year ,that´s why I´m keen to ride british league.I´m gonna be patient and i´m confident that I get my chance sooner or later.
Winter at home with family and relatives has charged my battery after hard, long last seaon.....Only thing which mess me here in Finland now is weather.I saw news that UK had snow storms and cold weather but here that same weather has been on since december except temperature....average has been about -15 celsius!!That´s cold even for finland.
couple weeks left for season and I start to get excited....(this weather and snow isn´t raise it)....hopefully I get good start for the season in practise camp and all engines will work well.I´m not 100% sure what date i´m gonna start to ride but when I know i´ll share that info with you.
Now it´s -22 celsius but i´m going to be tough and going for skiing .there isn´t free lunch on the way to be fit enough to ride.'

This Year start to be end but new year and new challenges will be ahead. I spent 2 years in berwick and enjoyed every moment.Fans and everybody around speedway has been nice and helpfull, hopefully some year I could come back and be part of succesfull team there.Next year anyway going to be great challenge for me somewhere else,I would like to wish all the best for new team.
I understand clearly why i wasn´t top of the wishlist for next year.I feel cutted that i didn´t reach goals and season was too much up and down all the way. I can´t say anything about next season in UK at the moment but I have allready invest one new frame and engine which going to wait until I find teamspot to ride.Next season I should have better, faster and more reliable machinery.
Only good thing at the moment is that contract in sweden is clear and just missing signing. If nothing appear before season start in britain, I will race in sweden and finland. That option give me more practise time on the track so I will be even more ready in british-league if I start ride there.
My injury recovering keep going well, operation went perfect so groin/pelvis will be better than new one :) I started low intensity practise begin of december and hopefully after new year I could start work out little bit harder. What ever happen I will fight myself fit until mid march.
Last but not least I want to thank you all who has visited these page, all fans, sponsors, friends ,etc, in 2009 ,for 2010 I`ll promise to update blog more often and page outfit going to have aswell few small improvements.
MERRY X-MAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR

latest from teroPosted by tero aarnio Mon, October 19, 2009 13:31:32Hi everyone!
I have been in Finland for a while after crash in Workington. That meeting was nightmare from the beginning.my best engine blew and then I got injured.I haven´t seen that crash on a video so I can´t say anything which caused that accident. And to be honest it doesn´t even matter.First few days gave me hope that season will still keep going but actually I can´t still walk and I wait groin operation at the moment.
I want to thank everyone who has give a visit to my webpage this season. And aswell I will thank for support what I have got this year.Special thanks goes to my friends.they have helped me through of hardest moments this year.
This year has been propably hardest ever for me.I have felt that I can´t prove my ability at all caused by mechanical problems.Every time when things have been okay next day has turned things upsidedown .Only good period in whole season lasted 3 weeks. On that time I didn´t get any problem and selfconfidence raised sky high.Unfortunately that feeling lasted only few weeks and after that engines started to mess again.Actually I never sorted out those problems before i got injury which ended my season.
I feel sorry for our fans that I didn´t achieve my goals and same time I didn´t help team enough. But all mistakes and unlucky has made me stronger and next season I will prove, especially for those who doupthing me after this season, what I´m capable.
I will come to season end dance so next time we will see there.

latest from teroPosted by tero aarnio Wed, September 09, 2009 23:02:47hi everybody!
last week i had 3 meetings.2 good ones and 1 totally nightmare.
Like i told on the last blog,we got payback time to Valsarna,Hagfors. We got draw against them and tomorrow we going to have 2nd leg of semi-final.Attleast we didn´t miss our changes at home. It´s going to be hard to beat them away but scorechart is 0-0 now so we will see.
My meeting last week was hard.First heat I took contact with fence big style.I got excluded BUT!!I still feel that Valsarna rider K.Jablonski was causing my tumble. He gave me more speed into a corner and with that speed nobody manage to stay on....never mind...that´s pass. Next heats i calmed myself down from exclusion and took win and paid 2nd place.end of the day not a bad meeting even next day In Scunny I really felt result from that crash(still feel).
Meeting next day in scunny. What a travel there.I was conserning because my engine was in one place,I was on another place and Bikes was on the way there in the third van.Luckily everything went well and we met each other in the Scunthorpe pit area.
Meeting went like I expected.I really like that track and bike was working really well there.I´m only disappointed to lose heat win to Wilko...I came last to first and kept lead few laps but then on the last lap for some reason I left door open for Wilko and he used it straight away.Good away meeting anyway for me and that week was seeming to be quite good until my heaven dropped down on saturday.
My bike started to running unclearly just before first heat and there wasn´t any power to ride speedway with that. I feel really sorry for those fans which were thinking in that meeting that I have loss my form after i´m back in the main body. Offcourse it´s part of my fault that we lost it but motorsport is like that...you can´t know in advance that your bike not going to work next day after good night day before.
End of the night we finally found failure on electric system and we have fixed that now.So bike should be back for normal and it´s only about me to score again.
Tomorrow(thu) starts 4 really busy days.First meeting in sweden, friday and saturday in England and yesterday I got phone call from Finland that I will ride there on Sunday in team league final ...So end of the week going to be busy and tiring but if/when i do well on all meetings i will be happy aswell.
Now i´m going to sleep and collect some energy for travelling.
See u
